Public Schools
The Chandler Unified School District is located in the Southeastern part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Chandler Unified serves more than 37,000 students in grades K-12.
Reading, language and mathematics are at the core of students’ education. The district has specific expectations for students in these three basic areas. Academic achievement is a high priority in the district as evidenced by test scores above the state and national averages. Our students consistently score among the top in the state on college-entrance exam.
Because of the outstanding educational programs offered, almost all of the district schools have been cited for excellence by outside organizations, including the Arizona Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Education.
Due to a booming city population and open enrollment laws, Chandler Unified is one of the fastest-growing districts in the state. The district has opened 21 schools since 1998 and now consists of 29 elementary, five junior highs, four high schools and two alternative schools.

Since 1974, Chandler Christian School has been partnering with parents to train their children in an excellent academic and spiritual setting. The children are not only taught but are led by example. As quoted by William Arthur Ward, “The mediocre teacher tells. A good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” We are trusting God to help us “inspire” the children that are entrusted into our care daily.
All of our staff are followers of Christ and recognize their job as a ministry. What a delight to see a child grow in their knowledge, develop a love for learning and recognize a need for Jesus to be their guide in life. It is a blessing to be part of this community. We are here to serve you and assist you in your journey of parenting.
New Vistas Academy (PK-6)

New Vistas began twenty-nine years ago as the vision of two elementary school teachers dreaming of a school in which children would be able to reach their full academic potential in a caring and nurturing environment. It was this premise which has allowed New Vistas to become an exceptional, diverse school of preschool through sixth grade students, each striving to fulfill their own goals and each being challenged to work at academic levels significantly above their age and grade level.
Walking into New Vistas is like coming home. It is walking into a family; a family of effective directors, talented teachers, motivated students and dedicated parents. It is an environment unique to the field of education, and one which not only encourages families to return year after year, but continues to welcome new families with the start of each school year.

Chandler Colleges and Universities
Chandler-Gilbert Community College

At CGCC, the goal is to provide quality educational courses and programs to help students reach whatever their goals may be: transferring to a university program, entering the job market, seeking a promotion, or exploring a personal interest.
CGCC teachers use a variety of learning strategies. They use collaborative learning activities, perform classroom research, involve students in service learning experiences, and form learning communities. As often as possible, students are involved in seeing, doing, solving, discussing and reflecting, rather than just listening to an instructor lecture about a subject. Instructors focus on development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and other skills that will serve students well in their professional and personal lives. The student learning and outcomes assessment program helps gauge progress in regard to developing skills in these areas, as well as in writing, speaking, listening, critical reading, information and computer literacy, humanities, mathematics, science, and personal development.
Development of a sense of social responsibility and community engagement is another area of emphasis. CGCC’s service learning program and learning communities have received national recognition by the League of Innovation, the American Association of Higher Education, the American Association of Community Colleges, and other prominent organizations for their effectiveness in increasing student connections to one another, to the faculty, and to their communities.
Beyond offering classes at convenient times, in a variety of formats, and at a reasonable cost to the student, CGCC has the added goal of providing an experience that will have lifelong worth. There is a serious institutional commitment to make students’ college years a transforming experience by engaging them actively in the subjects they are studying.
