Case-Shiller Index: Good News for Phoenix Real Estate

According to the most recent S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index, prices of Phoenix homes slipped just a half a percentage point in March and are up 2.4 percent from March 2009.

Case-Shiller by the Numbers: Phoenix Home Prices Down Slightly

Let’s analyze what’s been going on in the Phoenix and Scottsdale real estate market. The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index released March 30, 2010 (and covering through January 2010) had mixed news for the Phoenix real estate market.

Phoenix home prices fell 0.7% in January 2010 compared to December. That gain followed a 0.5% gain in December over November, which had been the 7th straight month of month-to-month price increases in the Phoenix real estate market.
